SUMMER FETE FOR NEW COMMUNITY CENTRE IN PENSARN

“The Summer Fete held today at St David’s Church Hall in Abergele Pensarn was delightful”, said Donna Hutton, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Clwyd West. “The event was very well organised and a lot of people attended. The atmosphere was friendly and really good fun”.

The fete, on Saturday 5th July, was in aid of the project to build a new centre for the community on the neighbouring church site. Mrs Hutton continued, “The community has rallied around this very worthwhile project. Local Labour Councillor Jean Stubbs and the rest of the Committee have worked hard on an application for a Lottery grant and we are all waiting to hear the outcome. There are too few facilities in the area as it is and it would be a terrific boost for local people if they get the funding to build the new centre.”

“I didn’t win the raffle, but I did pretty well on the tombola stall and the strawberries and cream were delicious. A good time was had by all!” concluded Mrs Hutton.
