LABOUR CANDIDATE PLEDGES TO ''DO HER BIT'' FOR BRITISH ARMED FORCES
Donna Hutton, Parliamentary Candidate for Clwyd West constituency, has pledged to do her bit for the British Armed Forces family.
Ms Hutton made the pledge on The Royal British Legion's campaign website, www.timetodoyourbit.org.uk
The website also features the charity's General Election manifesto, which sets out priorities for the next Government to improve conditions for Service Personnel and their families, the bereaved, veterans and dependants.
Kevin Shinkwin, the Legion's Head of Public Affairs, said ''We're really grateful to Donna Hutton for pledging to do her bit. The entire Armed Forces family needs the support of politicians from all parties, and our manifesto outlines practical ways the next Government can help”.
Ms Hutton said, “I was delighted to support The Royal British Legion. They have an important role to play in highlighting the needs of the whole Armed Forces family.
"l have pledged to do my bit and would encourage everyone to visit the website www.timetodoyourbit.org.uk."

Further information:
- The Royal British Legion is the nation's leading Armed Forces charity providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families. lt is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces. It is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy.
- Hundreds of MPs and Candidates from across the party spectrum have pledged to do their bit. The Legion is not asking individual MPs or general election Candidates to endorse its manifesto, as this is something only the parties can do. Instead, we're simply asking each MP and General Election Candidate to pledge to do their bit for the whole Armed Forces family at www.timetodoyourbit.org.uk. HOW they do their bit is entirely up to them.
- People without access to the internet can also get involved by ordering a campaign pack on 01304 205 900.
