HUGE “OWN GOAL” FROM RATTLED TORIES AS THEY EXPOSE THEIR OWN CUTS AGENDA

Welsh Labour has hit back at the Tories after they suggested that Labour were scaremongering in our leaflets.

In a press release issued today, Tory David Jones suggested Labour’s Donna Hutton had made “serious inaccurate claims” about Conservative party policy.

Welsh Labour stands by the claims and has justified each and every single one of them.

Labour’s Campaign Manager, Wayne David said,

“The Tories are clearly rattled to be reacting like this to one of our leaflets. The facts are absolutely clear – Welsh Labour can stand up every single one of the points raised in these leaflets. Under the pressure of proper scrutiny Tories have scored a massive own goal by drawing people’s attention to the dark underbelly of their slick PR machine.”

Labour’s Donna Hutton said,

“All these points refer explicitly to current Conservative policy or actions they have already taken, like blocking super-fast broadband proposals. People right across Clwyd West on modest incomes face the prospect of cuts under a Tory Government. Labour makes no apology for exposing the difference between our proposals to create a fair future for all Welsh families, and a Tory party committed to giving tax breaks to the wealthiest few.”
